I just got copies of Debney's Halloween Tree and The Cape/For Love and Glory. Here my first thoughts:

    HALLOWEEN TREE:
Great score. Definitly one of Debney's best. One could compare it with HOCUS POCUS. Although it only runs 27 minutes, it's a little treasure. Great combination of orchestra, synths and choir. *****

    THE CAPE/FOR LOVE AND GLORY:
Both scores are pretty good. I would put them in the same category as PURSUIT OF HONOR and CLASS OF '61 (or something like that). ***

    Any thoughts?

PS: If anybody should ask: I bought them at a soundtrack store in Antwerp (Belgium).

PPS: Foobsie: Could you contact me?

What is The Cape? Is that the TV show about the astronauts at Cape Canaveral, with Corbin Bernsen?

    Dantoris,

Yes that is the correct show, another example of an awesome show that was cancelled way to early.

I love the score to The Cape, very patriotic, one of Debney's best.

As I recall, The Cape was one for one season. The future was up in the air, and it returned for about half of the second season, then officially died. I never got to see, though I had planned to start watching it after hearing a couple of good reviews. (Course, I like Corbin Bersen, too. Good actor).

Well, if anyone is familiar with the Cape, I am. I was actually an extra in 3 shows. This was filmed everywhere in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. The opening theme is very much like Star Trek, but who says that is bad? It is a great theme and the show was not bad either!

IF ANYONE COMES TO COCOA BEACH TO SEE THE SPACECENTER, TELL ME!

    Later,
    Aaron

By any chance, did you get to meet Mr. Bernsen?

I love The Halloween Tree. It's like a mix of Hocus Pocus and Cutthroat Island(and who COULDN'T love that?)

Does anyone have it, burning equipment and track titles?

    Dantoris,

Actually Mr. Bernsen had a beach home 5 houses down from me. He was very nice and came to both the elementary and high schools many of times to help the kids. I actually was the person that mowed his lawn and he always was very cool to me!

Oh, too awesome! I had the chance to meet him (though very briefly) at the Universal Studios Citywalk a couple years ago, in one of the stores. I was trying to get something down from a shelf, but couldn't reach it. A hand appeared and got the item down for me. When I turned to thank the person, it was Corbin Bernsen! Seeing he was with his wife and kids, I just thanked him and shook his hand. Didn't wanna make a big scene out of it: "MOM! IT's CORBIN BERNSEN! GET OVER HERE!" Great day!

    SBO:

I couldn't have said it better! It is indeed a mix between Cutthroat and Hocus Pocus.
