I was watching Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings as a ballet and thought to myself, hey, they should do a ballet with all this wonderful music that there is in the fil music world.NP. Symphony No.2 "The Age of Anxiety"(Lenny)***

Goldsmith adapted A PATCH OF BLUE for ballet many years ago ... wrote another ballet (which I don't know) called OTHELLO. I believe one or both of these were performed only in Australia.

Dangit, Hector, I was going to post this very same topic tonight!!Anyway, I agree with you. I heard from SFT before he vanished that Danny Elfman was adapting Edward Scissorhands for ballet.
It all depends on who's choreographing it... we wouldn't want it to turn out like an Oscar production...
One score which I think could be really cool as a ballet is Incognito by John Ottman. Just think what could be done with "The Creation"...

Rocco: Are you sure you're not thinking of GoldENTHAL's ballet OTHELLO, which he wrote for his wife Julie Taymor?

No, Thor, Goldsmith most definitely wrote a ballet called OTHELLO -- I read about it YEARS before anyone even HEARD of Mr. Goldenthal.
