No, no, no. Not THAT Clinton, George S. Clinton. Haha! Seriously, what's he up to? Does he have any new films out, coming out, or in development that he's attached to? I think the last movie I saw that he'd scored was Black Dog, which (film & score) isn't as bad as you'd think. IMHO, anyway.[This message has been edited by dantoris (edited 23 March 2000).]

Oh, and The Spy Who Shagged Me. But what else is on the slate for him?

That depends on what your definition of up is?I assume you also have his Mortal Kombat score as well as Wild Things. I can't recommend Astronaut's Wife.
FSM (print version) says he is working Sordid Lives

Haven't seen Mortal Kombat since it was released, and don't remember too much about the music. And the only CD I see in the stores are the song compilations.Started Wild Things, but turned it off before it had gotten halfway through, so I don't recall anything about that score.

Oops. Was thinking of another movie. Wild Things I have seen (Denise Richards, anyone?), but didn't know Clinton scored it.

Do you suppose it's possible that he's working again with director Jay Roach on "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"?? it's very difficult to picture what sort of composer would be right for that movie, but when I think about it, Clinton doesn't sound like a bad choice at all. The only problem I have is GSC's leanings towards using a lot of electric sounds (synths, guitars, etc.) in his scores, and just feel that HGTTG should be done in a more dark yet humorous orchestral way.. Elfman would be nice, but it probably wouldn't happen.-Dawk

I've hardly seen a single Clinton score in the stores. Does he have a lot out there, or is he another one like Debney, a great composer whose scores get released only as hard-to-find promos?[This message has been edited by dantoris (edited 23 March 2000).]

My favorite George S. Clinton score was Dollar for the Dead, I wish they would have released that one. It was great!

Is that the TNT western with Emilio Estevez and Howie Long? I meant to catch that but missed it. It looked like a good shoot-'em-up.[This message has been edited by dantoris (edited 23 March 2000).]

Please don't take what I said the wrong way (when I look back, I don't think I quite worded what I was trying to say correctly), I said that "he wouldn't be a bad choice at all", meaning I know that he could surprise me, and he has tremendous potential, but if he goes the usual route he's been taking, I just can't see it working with HGTTG, but I'm not THAT pessimistic, hell, I don't even know if he's doing it yet.
