Can anyone tell me why Jerry Goldsmith is credited as John Goldsmith on both The Mummy and Deep Rising? Is there a reasonable answer to it?By the way: Can anyone reveal the ending of Mission to Mars? I havn´t seen it yet, but I´m very interested in knowing the point? Please, anyone?

Nothing like a good ending giveaway to ruin one's eagerness to see a film, hu? (Though in the trailer they pretty much say what TimT said). But still, it's like shouting out that "King Kong dies at the end of the film!" or "Thelma and Louise drive off into the Grand Canyon!"
Oops. Sorry about spoiling it.

I hope when they release M2M on video and DVD they release the director's cut. Up until about 2 1/2 weeks ago the running time for the movie was 153 minutes! It now runs approx. 113 minutes. Those Disney bastards! Messing with another possible great movie and turning it into mush. Didn't they learn with the 13th Warrior? No wonder it seemed to end abruptly. I wonder how they (Disney) overrode De Palma. Isn't he supposed to have final cut?

Man, nobody but Speilberg and Lucas have final cut. With MPAA and the distributor involved final cut is a myth for most.
