I think Elia is a tremendous talent that is about to break out with BATTLEFIELD EARTH, and he could become one of my next favorite composers. Has he done anything else besides RONIN and STIGMATA that I should look into? Perhaps some obscure foreign film?

I thought Billy Corgan did Stigmata.

Nope. Elia did it. You can see for yourself here. Perhaps Corgan was originally scheduled, but had to leave the project due to those pesky scheduling conflicts that seem to be the way of life in Hollywood.

Oops. Just checked Corgon's IMDB list. Apparently, he's also credited as a composer for STIGMATA. Perhaps he just contributed some music. But I know Elia did the majority of the score. Perhaps someone else can clear all this up for us.

Corgan replaced Elia on Stigmata. A promo cd was put out with his score.

Both Corgan and Cmiral are credited on the posters; while Corgan's collaborator (as named on the album) doesn't show up on the posters at all (at least not the US ones). It seems to me Cmiral was brought in to patch up the sections Corgan and friend were not considered competent to do. Cmiral got the job because he had impressed the music brass at MGM (which produced it) with his previous RONIN (which also produced RONIN).

Pay attention to this fellow, he's one who would know ... he's already "outed" himself elsewhere as an MGM Music Guy ...
