Tonight, in a couple hours, I am leaving on a long-ass road trip (approx. 3,500 miles total--and it's still cheaper than flying).I am wondering: How do most of you pass the time on long trips? Myself: I'm taking about 125 of my favorite CDs, including the longest scores I can find, like all the Star Wars SEs, Mummy complete, and Superman, as well as several composer compilations because I just can't take all my CDs. Shaun, seeing as how you're in the general area, you may or may not get a surprise visit...we'll see. See you all in a couple of weeks!

It's cheaper than flying, especially now with the gas prices almost topping $2 per gallon? Wow!Be safe, and enjoy all that listening. We'll see you when you get back. PeterK NP - "The Faculty" by Marco Beltrami

JJH: Geeez, 125 CD's? So I guess that CD suitcase far outweighs the other bags of clothes etc., huh?I could never carry that much on a trip (even a car trip). When I go away for more than a month, I have to be pack very economically - sometimes, all I can take with me is a CD case with room for 12 CD's (without the jewel cases and artworks) - kind of hard to pick out the Holy Twelve, though, so sometimes I sneak in another small bag of CD's (5-6 more). But 125? That's amazing.
