Ticker Tape is releasing this great Kaper score in stereo. Screen Archives has it listed under "New and Imminent Releases."

I've just received this film, on laserdisc, in the mail, today! I haven't seen it in years, and don't remember the score at all. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing it.

This is a great score and I have always wanted it on CD. A very underrated composer. His Lord Jim, Way West, Mutiny on Bounty, Flea in Her Ear and Them are all very good scores. Best, John.

Yes, that's good news, JEC; thanks for the posting! I've heard about 8 minutes of this score on the "Lion's Roar" MGM compilation 2-CD set, and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole thing. But I've never heard of Ticker Tape; does anyone know if they do a good job on their stuff? (I'm assuming it's a bootleg label.)

I'll find out soon, since I ordered a copy today. The Ticker Tape boot of Barry's THE LAST VALLEY quickly sold out and was reported to have had excellent stereo sound. I asked Craig Spaulding about the sound quality of this one and he replied "Excellent!!"
