There was a topic like this quite a while ago. It was mostly about his action music, but if you really want more suggestions you may want to search for it.

Contact and Forrest Gump are vey nice, and Eraser has its moments.

The Long Kiss Goodnight promo, for me, is tiring to listen to.

I don't have these either, but you might look out for Clan of the Cave Bear and Shattered.

    How are they?

    NO MERCY
    YOUNG GUNS 2

Also, can anyone out there make a CD-R of
WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT & SUPER MARIO BROS.?

The connection is fairly easy to guess.

    um, there aren't any.

some of them work OK (Judge Dredd, Contact), but that's not the same as "good".

THE ABYSS was the first CD I ever bought back in 1989 (not the first soundtrack, though - that was RETURN OF THE JEDI on cassette in 1985/86).

Thus, I am indelibly and nostalgically attached to this score. I remember lying on the floor (don't ask me why) while the blue end titles scrolled slowly over the screen and that majestic, slowly building "religious" music crescendoed its way to a riveting climax. Simply stunning. I had to get the CD. Quickly.

Undoubtedly Silvestri's magnum opus, and one of my absolute favourite scores overall. I even enjoyed the movie a lot, but that's another discussion altogether.

Judge Dredd is the only full Silvestri score I have, & I honestly can't remember when I listened to it last. However, I must recommend the Voyages compilation on Varese. It features most of the major thematic stuff from most of his work, up to about Quick & the Dead. It's mostly OST's (although suites from Who Framed Roger Rabbit & Forrest Gump are very good re-recordings) & there's plenty to listen to. Maybe once you've heard that, you could then start to investigate some of his full length albums.

I only have "Judge Dredd", but this one is really good. Worth getting, even though there are a lot of songs on the beginning of the CD which I'll probably never play again.

From what I can remember, "Roger Rabbit" is a great, jazzy score, but I haven't been able to find it yet. "Abyss" was also impressive. I keep finding it at stores and not picking it up because it's rather expensive and I can't really remember the music.

Ok, I love the Abyss score(and the complete version of the film too) but no one will say a note about the shameless ripp-off from Horner's Brainstorm?
Bashing Horner is an easy thing to do!

I forgot bout Judge Dredd. It's a great score too. Holy Man is floating around as a bootleg that runs about 70 mins. long and it's from the sessions. One cue I can even hear Silvestri talking to the orchestra. that's really cool. The Swarm was a bad movie period, but Jerry Goldsmith's score is a timeless classic. Definetly worth getting at whatever the cost.

    Some corrections, if you please:

I meant if someone could CREATE a CD-r of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT & SUPER MARIO BROS., that would be great.

Example: Someone at a website has a CD-r of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT & INNERSPACE (!) I can't believe it myself.

As for the connection, hint: he was also in MONA LISA & FELICIA'S JOURNEY.
