Hopefully it'll be way better than the second.

That's great news. But I'm really looking forward to his score for the upcoming Dimension Film Texas Rangers starring James Van Der Beek and directed by Steve Miner. Since it's a western, Beltrami is sure to let loose on this project that for once has nothing to with aliens or pychopaths. LOL

I think John Ottman is another possible for Texas Rangers, as he scored Director Steve Miner's last two films (Halloween H20 and Lake Placid). I think he'd provide an interesting sound. although I'd prefer Beltrami. I suppose it all depends if he's free from Urban Legend 2.

I remember hearing that Beltrami was going to do this sometime last year, & then it seemed to disappear. I couldn't find it in upcoming lists at filmscoremonthly or imdb, so I was beginning to think I had imagined it. Thank goodness I hadn't. Guess what is now my No.1 most anticipated score of the year is...

    Texas Rangers : http://us.imdb.com/Details?0193560 http://www.dimensionfilms.com/mm_front/owa/dim_movie_page.entryPoint?midStr=1336
directed by Steve Miner, written by Ehren Kruger (Scream 3) & John Milius (Conan)

Is is definately confirmed that Beltrami is doing scoring duties?

With Scream 3, Texas Rangers, The Crow:Salvation, plus promo's for The Faculty & Deep Water, this is looking like it's going to be a cracking year for Beltrami fans...
