This is Bad News if this is ture, found this at darkhorizons.

Gone in 60 Seconds: The soundtrack for the new Jerry Bruckheimer car chase thriller is in the works, with quite a few songs (mostly by Bruce Springsteen) written into the script likely to be on the soundtrack as well. Others now rumoured to be in negotiation include: Rob Zombie, Buckcherry, Godsmack, Staind, Slipknot, Powerman 5000 and Wu-Tang Clan with more to come. Capitol Records will release it in June

This is sad indeed. If a good composer scores this movie and there is no score release there will be some angry score buyers including myself

Hans Zimmer is scoring this film, so of course there will be a score album! Don't you think so? He is an absolute A-composer and very popular and I actually think a score CD would sell almost as good as the one with songs.

Calm down, gentlemen. Why agitate over a score that hasn't even been written yet?

I figure it likely there WILL be a score album, especially if the picture is a hit. Worst that'll happen is that it turns out to be one of those Varese 30-minute jobbies, but at least we'll HAVE an album.

Actually, Jon, Zimmer and John Powell scored "The Chill Factor" back near the end of summer, and there was no score release for that. It goes to prove that there are no guarantees.

I really want a score release, don't get me wrong, its just that sometimes, we don't get a score release of our favourite movies.

You're right on Chill Factor, Alwin, there was no score release there, but remember that Gone In 60 Seconds will be a bigger film than CF, and therefore I hope we will see a score release.

BTW, Jeff Rona and John Powell scored Chill Factor, not Hans and John. The credits says Hans and John, but that was only to get the film more popular, and since Jeff nad Hans write the same kind of music, no one would ever notice...

And, how is the Chill Factor music? Is it written in the Bruckheimer vein, that means a lot of synths and great themes? The film is not released here in Norway.
