Maybe this question has been asked several times, but I'd like to ask it anyway.

What are your five most anticipated scores of this year. If you can, rank them. Please don't give more than five, otherwise the list wouldn't be representative anymore. Here's my list:

    1. GLADIATOR (Zimmer)
    2. THE ROAD TO EL DORADO (Zimmer)
    3. DINOSAUR (Newton Howard)
    4. URBAN LEGEND 2 (Ottman)
    5. THE PATRIOT (if Williams does it)

Zimmer pops up twice. That's something new for me. I really think he'll do a great job on Gladiator.

I'm really interested in what Morriccone does with "Mission to Mars."

    1. Dinosaur (James Newton Howard)
    2. Gladiator (Hans Zimmer)
    3. Reindeer Games (Alan Silvestri)
    4. Battlefield Earth (I don't think it has a composer yet, but it just seems like it will have to have an interesteing score)
    5. Mission: Impossible 2 (Hans Zimmer)

I was going to put Dinosaur as all five but I didn't want Joe to tease me again.

Battlefield Earth will be composed by Elia Cmiral (is that written correctly?). The guy that did Ronin.

So Elia Cmiral is doing BattleField Earth, that could be interesting. I have the old LP of the music L. Ron Hubbard composed himself for his book, I wonder if Elia will use anything from that.

    Hard Target:
I hope this doesn't disappoint you too much, but Michael Kamen isn't scoring Rocky & Bullwinkle. According to the trailer, Mark Mothersbaugh is on the job. But i'm sure he'll do a great job; his Rugrats Movie score was great!

Here are the scores I'm looking forward to the most (not necessarily ranked):

    1. Dinosaur (JNH)
    2. X-Men (Kamen)
    3. The Road to El Dorado (Zimmer)
    4. Mission to Mars (Morricone)
    5. The Tigger Movie (Harry G-W)

I agree with ALL of Hard Target's choices above except for Rocky and Bullwinkle...but I will switch that one in favor of URBAN LEGENDS (Ottman).

The latest report is that both Speilberg and Cruise may have to pass on Minority Report so the movie probably will not make it to the screen.

Klattu, Minority Report is being pushed back to next year with both Spielberg, Cruise, and John Williams in tact along with producer Jan DeBont. Kamen is still scoring Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Kamen comfirmed it himself, but it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't since he's doing X-Men. Can anyone tell me what's going on with Danny Elfman. Is he still scoring American Psycho. The Moviedatabase lists another composer instead of Elfman. I know the film is being heavily reedited thanks to an NC-17 rating.

    Others to look foward to:
The Flintstones 2 Viva Rock Vegas (David Newman)
    Erin Brockovich (Thomas Newman)
    Charade (Thomas Newman)
The Klumps Nutty Professor 2 (David Newman)
    The Patriot (John Williams)
    Mission to Mars (Ennio Morricone)
    The Big Khuna (Christopher Young)
    Chinese Coffee (Elmer Bernstein)
    Wonderboys (Christopher Young)
    Space Cowboys (Lennie Niehaus)
and who ever scores the two Bruckheimer produced Navy Divers and National Treasure.
