I just received the UK version of Ashes. When listening to the score without narration, the superiority of the content comes out a great deal more. Just listen to Back To America without the commentary and you'll know exactly what I mean. For all you Williams fans, the UK version is a must. Made in Germany, this disk is far more emotionally satisfying as a soundtrack than the US version. All I can say is, I'm really glad that Williams understood the importance of his fan's attitude when it comes to enjoying his music for his music's sake, not for the movie's sake.
Great score this is folks! I'm finally satisfied that I can just enjoy the music and music only.
For those who have heard the 2 versions, please share with us what your thoughts are.
Furthermore, tell us whether the feel comes out a lot more with just the music. Or, perhaps, it may not make much difference to you.Until we hear your thoughts.
