Welcome one, welcome all, to the most fantastical franchise to hit the internet! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Wedge, Film Score Monthly refugee and the enigmatic proprietor of Wedge's International Haiku Chain. Some of you may already know my good friend and Executive Producer Mr. Chris Kinsinger ... let's give him a round of applause! You may also see other FSM regulars pop up here from time to time ... Marian, vt, Sheriff Joe, H Rocco ... too many to count. So allow me to explain exactly what it is we do here.

We Haiku. It's that simple. About anything, about everything, on-topic, off-topic, you name it! A fantastic, fun free-for-all where there are no rules. Here are the rules:

    1) Keep foul language to a minimum.
    2) Clothing stays on.
    3) ALL posts, and I mean ALL, MUST be written in Haiku, at the risk of senseless bludgeoning.

What, you ask, is Haiku? Well, if you don't know, it's a seventeen-syllable, nonrhyming poem with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Example:

    A new Haiku thread
    A new MessageBoard locale
    The masses rejoice!

There you go. It's that simple. And now, sit back and relax. Play by the rules, and nobody gets hurt. "Wedge's" has expanded to a new town, and I hope you enjoy it.

"And He said 'Let there be Haiku ...' "

    Here we go again!
    They say that power corrupts.
    Yes! Absolutely!

    Let me just say this.
On this board, I'm not sheriff.
    Oh joy of all joys!

    My heart is pure now
at least as pure as it was
    before...the POWER.

    No, Wedge, NOT POWDER...
    I said POWER..THE POWER!!!
    Ooops! Where's my prozac?

    Wedge, you mentioned me!
    I am so very flattered!
    Now I must write stuff.

    Guess I just did it.
    Rather an easy format.
    If you know how to.

    I did it again!
Look, I just did it again!
    I did it again!

    "Hasn't posted much."
That's what is says about you.
    Wedge! You must write more!

    It just takes twenty.
    I mean twenty messages.
    I mean that you post.

    To be a member.
I meant to be a member.
    Become a member!

    Bet you can do it.
It's really not hard at all.
    Just lots of typing.

    A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!
    To Haiku is to inhale,
    And exhale...ah, YES!

    It has been too long
    Since I've composed a Haiku;
    It's like I forgot!

    Ah, YES! I feel like
The Tin Man when he wanted
    A few drops of oil!

    You too, plum blossom!

    Soon we'll try a Limerick.

    Dear Mr. H'ness,
    You can simply pronounce it:
    EV-ER-Y-BO-DY.

    Then it is allright,
And you don't need to worry
    About syllables.

    But you're right, sadly:
    Where is everybody?
    No fun anymore!
