Does anyone have any uncommon scores that are hard to find? It's interesting to know some of the scores people own. Here are a few that I have that I think are uncommon...

Orca the killer whale (E.Morricone)...I found this one in a catalog from intrada I think..it's an italian release.

Lilies of the Field (J.Goldsmith)....I found this one at tower records actually, I was suprised, I haven't seen it since

The gods must be crazy part 2...this score is fun, I found it used at the wherehouse.

Well, if those are in fact common, I apologize!

I bought a CD at work today for ONE DOLLAR titled Music From Great Australian Films. It has a cue each from Gallipoli, Picnic At Hanging Rock, one that I can't remember the title of, and a bunch of Aussie films I've never heard of. Hey, it was a DOLLAR!

Eleni Karaindrou´s scores to films Ulysses´Gaze, Two Steps of the Stork and Eternity and the DAy are great. Also Preisner´s scores to Kieslowski´s films and some of Jan A.P. Kaczmarek´s scores are great

Very uncommon I think: The Kon-Tiki-Man by Ragnar Bjerkriem. Anyone around who knows his work???
    And here's some older stuff:

The Abominable Snowman by Humphrey Searle
    Witchfinder General by Paul Ferris
    She by James Bernard
all above mentioned are interesting scores, but they're veeeery hard to find...

    Floyd.

Well I don't know if these are uncommon, but seem that way to me.

    The Flash - Shirley Walker
    The Relic - John Debney
    Innerspace (expanded) - Jerry Goldsmith
Remo williams: The Adventure Begins - Craig Safan

And I just bought Thomas Newman's score to Fried Green Tomatoes, which I have never even seen available before now.

    NP: Stargate - David Arnold

    Sean Robert Abbey

I've got Flight of the Intruder by Basil Poledouris on CD-R made from the DAT tape.

Sabbey, where did you find Fried Green Tomatoes? I'm still able to find the soundtrack but not the score. I'm really into TNewman right now. Is it good?

I have quite a few uncommon scores including bootlegs, promos etc...

Most recently I got the Label X release of Bernard Herrmann´s "Night Digger" from 1971.
It was only released in Australia and is very rare.

    Floyd Pepper:

Hey, funny you should mention Bjerkrheim. He's one of the most prominent film composers in Norway (where I live), heavily influenced by Goldsmith (which is a good thing). He usually works in the symphonic mode, which is somewhat rare with the limited film budgets in this country.

If you liked the score to the Oscar-nominated KON-TIKI MAN (portraying the real-life adventures of explorer Thor Heyerdahl - hey, what a great name!), then you should check out his score to one of Norway's first and only science fiction films - CHASING THE KIDNEY STONE. It's a children's film in the FANTASTIC VOYAGE / INNERSPACE mode, and it contains some spectacular action music!! Strongly recommended!!

Olivier Olivier / Europa Europa by Zbigniew Preisner. Two very original and interesting scores by the Polish composer. A Canadian release, I think.

The Alchemist / Zone Troopers by Richard Band. An old LP from Varese Sarabande. The Alchemist I was already familiar with (great score), but Zone Troopers is near-aweful. Richard Band actually plagiarizes the Imperial March. I blame the filmmakers for this, however.

T-Rex: Back to the Cretaceous by William Ross. A promo of an awe-inspiring, fantastic score by William Ross. Great stuff, haven't seen it around much.

    Sabbey,
Where'd you get your hands on The Flash? Where (if anywhere) can I find a copy? I'm a big fan of the show, the music was always great!

    James

spango: yes, I know that Invaders from Mars rejected score, and it is strange, but even stranger seems to me that other track which is featured on my CD; it is called Holy Matrimony, Young composed it for children's toys, actually it's the strangest work I've ever heard from a film composer...

    Hey Michel!

I found it at Tower Records. Their web Page, now has an OOP section, and it's listed there for $8.99.

If you want it, I'd suggest hurrying, since it is very limited. I know we are not the only ones who would buy an copy.

Is it good? unfortunately, I have yet to get it, so I wouldn't know.
