Is there anyone out there who is a Carpenter fan? Of both his films and his scores. Though many of the scores are very simplistic, I still really like a lot of them.

Does anyone have The Fog or Prince Of Darkness? These are the only 2 of his cd's I do not have.

I collect a few of his scores. Most of my collection is on LP, but the Prince of Darkness score is on CD.

I am a big fan of Carpenter!

I just love this guy. "Escape from New York" is one of my favorite movies and scores.
Yes, it's definitly a B-movie, but very very cool!
Carpenter is among those few directors working who still transpire that subversive way on his movies, so necessary to open people's minds... "They Live" being the best on this vein.

I also LOVE "Dark Star". So trashy and so delicious.

I love Dark Star (the movie), but I'm not that big a fan otherwise. I like his music, though.

As a director, John Carpenter is one of my absolute faves. His music is pretty sparse, but he is getting better. Vampires is one of his better scores, I think. The spanish guitar homage to Tiomkin's THE ALAMO is great. I prefer his rock theme to In The Mouth Of Madness (great movie) over Vampires'.
The guy is just one of the best in my book. He makes movies to entertain...

    himself.
