Anyway: Taxi Driver, On Dangerous Ground, Psycho, Vertigo and North by Nortwest sounds very interesting. I would really like to see them perform it. I have never been to anything like that before. Unfortunately, although Germany is "right next door" so to speak, it can be a bit difficult for a 16 year old highschool student to just drop everything and travel to Germany. But they are performing in several cities so that should make it easier for me. Iīll have to check it out! Thanks!

NP: Taxi Driver, Bernard Herrmann (just got it today. I traded that stupid End of Days soundtrack to this release by ARISTA. Great score! One of Herrmannīs best, although not quite up there with Psycho and Vertigo).

I am also a big fan of the Drum and Bugle Corp. My brother was a member of the Blue Knights for about three years, I watched every competition I could get to. You are absolutely right, they are some of the most dedicated musicians I have seen. They would travel all over the country, by bus, and sleep on hard High School Gym floors and have to get up the next day and march. It is definitely worth seeing a Drum Corp competition and I recommend it to anyone who loves music.

Then, last summer, I went to the annual DCI festival here in Dallas and it was terrific! It reminded me again how much I enjoyed it, but it was even better than before. I was particularly struck by the precision with which they executed some extremely intricate rhythmic patterns. This is not your basic 4/4 march . . . left foot, right foot.

A program of Bernard Hermann's music should really give them a chance to shine. I can't wait.
