    Matt,

That is absolutely hilarious. I can't believe there is an organiziation that actually rates movies like that. The sad part is, some people must be going to this page for advice because they can't judge for themselves what movies are OK for their kids to watch.

This is my favorite quote from their review of The Matrix: "I doubt there was more than a total of 15 minutes of showtime in which guns were not used or visible."
NOW, THAT'S WHAT I CALL A GREAT MOVIE!!!

You are SO right about the website being funny. It took me ten minutes to find a movie they actually liked. And one of the "subversive" elements in Prince of Egypt was an old woman bathing a baby. Gimme a break!

I read the review from the Matrix and laughed out loud when "stopping bullets with the mind" is considered an insult to God.

That's interesting. I'm doing a cooperative speech in Speech (not redundant) on violence exposure to children... that would be a good source! Not to mention funny. Thanx.

PS - Personally, I say keep blowin' up crap and shootin' up the bad guys.

Wow! That's is quite unfeasibly amusing. I just looked at Scream:

    heterosexual couple in bed together.

    Nightmare!

What a shame they don't have a review of Life of Brian!

they trashed fight club! That's my favorite film of the year (haven't seen american beauty yet), those a-s-s-holes (ahghg, stupid bad-word blocking)! How many people die in Fight Club? Oh yeah, that's right... 1.

Oh screw it, I'm not going to argue with that obviously flawed and blind review. If you want a real review of fight club, read the Michael Wilmington Chicago Tribune review, "[fight club] is definitely something else, with a vengance". It just pisses me off when somebody trashes a movie because they didn't "get it" (Roger Ebert for example). It pissed me off as much as the www.mrcranky.com site.

I'm not even going to read that Matrix "review", I can imagine what it says ("This satanic film of death will turn your perfectly normal, perfectly healthy children into psycho mass-murdering rapist killers!")

Eh, maybe I'll just laugh at how pathetic it is. AHAHHahhahHAHHahhahahhahahah

As much as I hate to agree with Matt about ridiculing something of this nature, I believe I must. This is truly pathetic. I am a Christian as well, but I thought this site was taking things in the wrong direction. I wrote a professional, thought-out, friendly-but-agressive letter to the head honcho over there. I spent a long time on it, I thought I presented some good arguments, and after what I saw on the responses section of the web site, I was hoping if not expecting an intelligent and equally courteous response. This is the reply I got from him:

"I do not have time to respond to such a lengthy letter.

    Always in Jesus' name,
    Thomas A Carder
    ."

Boy, some people really know how to lose respect.

    James,
you should have anticipated that response.
