Quite a young group we have here.Even though this isn't really related to age, but it somewhat applies....
Got to wondering....seeing how classical music/film music is SUPPOSEDLY/STEREOTYPICALLY for old folks, so in theory wouldn't this genre die when they do? No offense to anyone..... I mean the typical teenager (using "typical" very loosely here) listens to his Ricky Martins or Kid Rocks or Master Ps and so by my "calculation", the post-Generation X folks (who are babies now) will listen to a NEW type of music and once the teenagers today get old, rap and hip-hop and R&B and Pop will continue to be their preference? So goes the evolution of music?
Finally, to answer the first question: 19.

Actually the typical teen is about middle school to freshman aged that listens to the groups you mentioned. How do i know this? My sister just entered high school, and so when im home from college her music tatses drive me insane(EMILY! TURN OFF THE GOD DAMNED MTV NOW!!!).
And, as you guys know, im 19.

It is interesting to note the youth of the posters here. I also post on another board, Film Score Monthly, and we did an age question there. The bulk of those posters is mid to late twenties.
On that board, I am not even close to oldest at 38. The oldest poster there is 20 years my senior. At this board, I can be the grand old man!
At least till some graybeard pushes me out of the way!

17 here. Wow! So many teenagers. I'm supprised! I always feel like I'm the only one my age that listens to movie scores. It's cool to know that there are others out there like myself![This message has been edited by scoreman (edited 09-28-99).]

Ok,
since we're into this age thing...I will no longer demand anyone to guess...
I'm 5.
No,no,no...that's how I usually fell and that's the level of spelling knowledge I seem to have most of the times.
For reals...I'm 34.
Now before all you under 20 start calling me over the hill and old and that CRAPP!!!!!I act more like an early 20 year old or even younger ( you be the judge), most of my friends are in their early 20's, I feel more in my 20's, my girlfriend is 23 (SO WHAT?),and I look a lot younger than I am.
So there

back when this first started (in the dark days of April
), a bunch of us put our ages on the little info screen that other members can access. That way we didn't have to do the A/L/S thing every once in a while. But since I responded to this, I'll say I'm 37.
"I'm 37. I'm not old."
"But I can't just call you man."
"Well you could call me Kevin"
"I didn't knowyou wre called Kevin."
"Well, you didn't bother to find out, did you!"(Sorry, having a Python moment there.

Matt,
since you must know, yes she is hot.
As far as your comment with that cradle thing is concerned (why am I talking to someone who watches South Park?), I showd my girlfriend your note. She said you were jealous. Yet, here I was, defending you; saying you were a great guy and we agreed on the Alien issue. She told me to shut up. Well, actually she said be quiet. Why am I telling you this...Scott

Scott, why would i be jelous? If i dated someone 11 years younger then me she would be 8. Thats just sick.
I dont know, anyone who refuses to watch South Park isnt entirely trustworthy. Go see the movie and if you dont like it ill leave you alone.
As for your girlfriend being hot..of course you're gonna say that if shes sitting right there.
ANyway, im off to go eat crappy dorm food(i encourage you all to boycott Marriott).NP: Henry V(doyle) ****/****

Matt,
first off, I was not suggestion you dating anyone 11 years younger than you and it's not like I was actively seeking someone that much younger, things just happen you know?
Second, my girlfriend never sits me when I'm on the net so I have no reason to call her hot if I didn't think so.
Third, I promise I will watch the movie and even watch some of the episodes that my nephew has on disk. By Monday I will let you know what I thought about the episodes.
Lastley, if you after all this time think that I am not trustworthy because I don't watch a TV show, then you're more demented than I thought
.Yours truly,

Neither me nor my girlfriend were ever offended. It takes a lot and I mean A LOT to offend me.Have a great weekend,

I just think it's kinda nice to know a little bit about the people your talking too. It can give you a little insight as to some of their views. Especially age.
