Hello. As I was browsing the Varèse Sarabande website, I noticed the ad for "The Back to the Future Trilogy", by Alan Silvestri. I know a lot of people (including myself)have been waiting for this magnificent, previously-unreleased score to get out, and Varèse always pushed back the date. Well, since I haven't seen the announcement of the official date anywhere on this board (maybe it has escaped me....), here it is:September 21, 1999
Here is the original article, taken from www.varesesarabande.com :"September 21, 1999
Alan Silvestri: THE BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY
John Debney o Royal Scottish National OrchestraRobert Zemeckis' Back to the Future trilogy is one of the most successful series of films ever! From the very beginning (Romancing the Stone) through such heights as Forrest Gump, an integral member of team Zemeckis has been composer Alan Silvestri. Never has Alan been so important to a film's success than he is here. Aside from perhaps Star Wars and Star Trek, no other film theme from this time has become such a popular, and instantly recognizable, embodiment of an entire motion picture. The Back to the Future trilogy (1985, 89 and 90) starred Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. While both Back To The Future parts II and III received releases of their scores, this is the first time anything other than the main theme has been available from the film that launched the whole series! The heroic Skateboard Chase, the climactic Clocktower sequence and many more favorites are here, as is a full suite from both Back To The Future Part II and the journey west in Part III! As a special bonus, also for the first time anywhere, is the music Alan composed for the Back To The Future ride at Universal Studios! All aboard for this exciting journey back… Back To The Future!!

I'm just afraid that if we don't keep reminding ourselves of it's coming release date, it will be delayed. I don't think anybody here would want that.
