I saw this cd today and was wondering if anybody had an opinion on this score?I vaguely remember the theme, but not much.So any help would be appreciated.I also spotted today MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS by Graeme Revell.I have heard that this a really action packed score along the same lines as STREET FIGHTER by Revell.Anyone heard this one also? Thanks in advance.

Lawnmower Man 2 has been out of print for a while now. It may still be available online, but I don't know. If you remember liking the theme from the film, I'd go ahead and get it. It was a pretty good yet simple theme from what I remember. I actually can still hum it off the top of my head. If you buy it, buy it for the end credits music containing this theme. The rest is pretty much unamazing.I have not heard Power Rangers, but I have also heard people talk about it.

Matthew,I don't like too much of Robert Folk's music but I liked Lawnmower Man 2. It had a really cool cyber Sci-Fi feel to it. I wouldn't have paid full price for it though, I bought mine used for around 6 bucks.

I just bought this cd today used, and in listening to the theme a few times I decided to pull out TOY SOLDIERS by Robert Folk as well.I had not listened to this score in a while, and I noticed some striking similarities in the themes. To be perfectly honest it sounded almost identical to the theme in TOY SOLDIERS.Anyone else notice that the two themes sound quite alike each other? It just seems to me that Folk possibly had trouble coming up with a theme for LAWNMOWER MAN 2 and just made some minor changes and re-orchestrated the TOY SOLDIERS theme.Although I enjoy the theme so i'm complaining.Just making an observation.

Robert Folk has used that theme of his several times, just check out LM2, Toy Soldiers, Beastmaster 2 and In the Army Now, almost identical but not quite. All of them have some great action music, though. I recommend getting Lawnmover Man 2 as itīs a great action-packed score and itīs over an hour.
Mighty Morphinīisnīt as good as Streetfighter, thereīs something wrong with the performance of the orchestra.

Huh? Am I listening to the same CD??
LM2 sounds nothing like Toys Soldiers nor Beastmaster 2!LM2's theme is more simular to the Jurassic Park theme if anything.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is pretty good I think, much better than Street Fighter.

The theme from Lawnmower Man 2 is very much like his theme from Toy Soldiers. Great music, though. I actually prefer LM2 over Toy Soldiers. Matthew, if you enjoy big, thematic, action-packed sci-fi music, you're in for a treat. Lawnmower Man 2 will not disappoint. It's worth full price.Jeron

I always remember the old review of Lawnmower man 2 in and early FSM magazine. Lukas wrote how horrible it was and that he could only play half of it---that was pretty much the whole review. It always cracks me up.Just wanted to share

Well i've been quietly lurking aroung the boards for a few months just observing, and not saying much since i've been incredibly busy. But,since I see an old post post of mine has been resurrected,I figured now would be a good time to come out of hiding, but I doubt anyone even knew I was gone, since I had not posted on a regular basis in quite some time.
But to stay on topic,I just listened to the themes of both LM2 and Toy Soldiers.I still believe the two themes sound almost identical with only minor variations on the chord changes and slightly different orchestrations, despite what anyone else thinks.Anyway, enough rambling,I hope to be around alot more frequently, now that my production schedule has has slowed down considerably, and I hope to post alot more often.[Message edited by Matthew on 09-09-2001]

I don't have LM2, but "Power Rangers" is terrific. If you don't have any Graeme Revell scores, here is a great place to start.

I never bought MMPR's score disc. I could never go into a shop and buy anything with MMPR emlazoned on it. Is the score CD worth having?NP: A VIEW TO A KILL (John Barry) just finished.

I don't see the fascination with MMPR score.God help me, I actually saw 5 minutes of that movie awhile back and the score was simply cheesy.
Lawnmowerman 2 kicks ass. It's a big big BIG score. A lengthy CD too. Perhaps too lengthy, but there you have it: the Varese Conundrum.posted 09-10-2001 08:38 PM PT (US)

Take another listen folks, Folk's Lawnmover Man 2 owes more to Jurassic Park, a bit of Independance Day and about another 100 scores.Either Mr. Folk is the victim of temp trackitis, was given less than a week to write it, or this graduate of Julliard does not know an original thought if he tripped over it.
