I recently purchased the CD "Us and Them: Symphonic Pink Floyd" which contains orchestral adaptions of some Pink Floyd songs performed by the London Philharmonic. It is an outstanding five-star CD, definitely worth getting. This has also made me curious. Does anyone else out there know any other good "classical crossovers," (as they are called)? I've heard a few that were really bad, but I'm seeking out the good ones. Any ideas?James

Here's an interesting one. A cello quartet from Finland (I think) called Apocalyptica has two CDs out. One is all Metallica, the other is Metallica and some other metal bands. I only have the Metallica one, and it's actually pretty good. I like it anyway.

I have a CD called Fortress which has the London Symphony Orchestra performing the music of Sting. It's a pretty good CD. I'd say at least 4/4.5 stars out of 5.

"Unforgiven" is good, and surprisingly I think they bring out some really musical elements with "Master of Puppets." "Enter Sandman" is my least favorite. I think it's the way they did the intro.
