Mike Oscar® Nominee	HANS ZIMMER TO SCORE MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2 Most people I've talked to love Elfman's score to Mission: Impossible and want him to return for the sequel - I feel the same. Continuity from the first to the second film also plays a major factor here. I posted a message a couple of weeks ago asking MovieMusic visitors who they wanted to score MI2. Most said Elfman, quite a few wanted Schifrin to make an MI comeback, and some said Alan Silvestri deserves the job due to the rejection of his MI score. So the question is, who is scoring John Woo's Mission: Impossible 2? Danny Elfman has been the big name in recent discussions, and the mention of Hans Zimmer has ignited a huge debate. Here's the answer, so the buck stops here: I'm sorry to say that Pierre was right. I just came here from the official Danny Elfman site "Music for a Darkened People". The site's webmaster recently posted a message saying Elfman WILL NOT return for MI2 and that Zimmer will reteam with John Woo for this project (ala Broken Arrow). I understand most people will question this validity of this statement and Elfman fans will be in a state of denial. Let me reiterate that this new information comes strait from the official Danny Elfman web site. Check it out - seeing is believing. My apologies to the Danny Elfman fans. I'm one of them.
