    hey everyone...i just have a question. Of all the Film scores/soundtracks you have heard...which one is the one that is the best FULL score. Meaning...some scores may have a couple of good tracks and then there are others that are very complete. MY Question is which scores do u think are the best FULL COMPLETE scores. sorry...if u dont understand this...i dont know how to explain it. THANKS.

    Here I will start everyone back to normal

    "Star Wars SE: A New Hope," "Star Wars SE The Empire Strikes Back," "Star Wars SE: Return of the Jedi," and finally "Star Wars: Episode I" (or at least when the second CD comes out, if it does)

    I'd have to say either "Murder in the First", by Chris Young or "Conan the Barbarian", by....well...you know who.

    Both these scores have almost no skip-over music (as I like to call it).

    All time favorite full score: E.T., with The Peacemaker, Raiders, and (eventually released) Superman following closely. There are so may others- but most have already been mentioned- why be conforming?

    Days of Thunder by Hans Zimmer! But as all of you know that it is not released and only a two(or more?) suite tracks were released.

    Well, the best FULL score would have to be, The Phantom Menace. I also love The Last Crusade and Raiders.

    Braveheart is good, but the other CD is stuff with dialogue, the one you want is the normal soundtrack. More music from Braveheart is good after you have the normal one. If you don't have it yet, I strongly recommend Schindler's List, one of the most beautiful and depressing scores of all time.
    NP: Austin Powers: SWSM

    The Wind and the Lion by Jerry Goldsmith.I can listen to this cd over and over and never tire of it.At one moment it is Lush and beautiful, and the next moment it is heart-pounding action music.One of the greatest compositions of all-time.

    Under Fire is my favorite score, it's 95% complete, unfortuneately leaving off one very good chase cue.

    Since Braveheart was mentioned, there is one thing I did notice when the movie was on broadcast TV a few months ago; and that is how predominant (I mean that in the most positive sense) the score is. There is a lot of the score used in virtual entirety and it's played at a volume which brings it to the forefront with the scenery, characters and action. I was pleased to see this, having missed the movie at time of theater release and having bought the soundtrack within days of its release (and this was before I was really into film scores).

    NP: Medicine Man / ****

    Well since everyone has mentioned all the scores I was GOING to list , the 3 SE Star Wars, Superman, Raider, The Phantom Menace, Cutthroat Island, etc., etc., I'm going to list one of my favorite Elman scores that hasn't been mentioned...yet. So you can put me down for A Nightmare Before Christmas. Cute songs with a little touch of that Elfman dark side.

    The Spitfire Grill (Horner);
    Legends of the Fall (Horner); yes I am biased.
    Prince of Egypt (Zimmer);
    Gettysburg (Edelman);
    or were we supposed to mention only one title?
    Murder in the first (c. Young)
    Mimic (Beltrami)
    Nightmare before Christmas (Elfman)
    Oh well, I think I'll stop here... bye.
    No, I'd like to mention Meet Joe Black (T. Newman).
