I absolutely love this soundtrack. I bought it when I was 11 and had it for about 2 years before my lovely brother got mad and stuck it in the microwave! So obviously it got completely wrecked and certainly wasnt playable anymore.About a year after that I managed to buy the tape (I dislike tapes an aweful lot) and of course that ended up busting on me after a year. Now 3 years of that incident I'm considering buying it again but every place I've look its priced at 30-34 dollars does anyone know if there happens to be a specific reason why its priced so high? because I personally think thats an absolutely rediculous price and unless theres a good reason why I rather go without.

You're correct about the score. It's excellent!

The 'Main Titles' opening of this score is absolutely huge! I tend to like scores for big outdoor drama/adventure movies because they give the composer a chance to write music which can frame and fill a landscape. Trevor Jones delivers the goods bigtime! Meanwhile, Randy Edelman wrote some excellent tracks in support with 'The Courier' and 'Cora' as standouts.
I knew within minutes of the opening sequence of this movie that I would own the soundtrack.
