This new look is starting to happen. It may take a day to fully work out the old look, so bare with me here. I figured the old look wasn't fun enough - kind of dry. This new look is a hint as to what the new site will look like. It's gonna be good! Stay tuned....

I love the look, but we can do something about that logo? It looks rather--excuse the term--childish. I liked it much better when the words "moviemusic.com" was in Times New Roman font.

Here's hoping that this is (excellent) work in progress and that we will see the fruits of labor soon!

I don't know. I like the logo. It doesn't look childish to me, just fun. Groovy. Yeah!

Guys, I got into that new look a couple of time. I don't understand why you like it. It's dark blue/purple on top of dark grey. I skipped the messageboard on those days. Right now, it's dark blue on top of light blue, making this messageboard the toughest to read on the internet. When you spend hours working with computers or browsing through the net, you want to clear messages to read. The best way is to have a strong contrast between the letters and the background. Like black on white or white on black, black on light colors, ect. Anyway, that's my plead Peter. On other pages, anything goes because we're not reading a lot. Thanks.

    lucchung,

I am listening to your comments, however and am very unclear about what you are saying. You think the messages in this new look are really hard to read?

If anyone else has any comments, pro or con, about the redesign of this message board, please let me know what's on your mind. The little musical note and "reply" graphics you see now will be changing soon. I need to know what works best for everyone as I build this site. After all, it is going to become the biggest and best place on the internet for movie music. By FAR.

I can read the messages OK, but people have different visual capabilities (and some color combinations result in less eye strain). Black type of current size font with alternating shades of current message block color might be worth taking a look at. Try reading it from various distances to see if it makes a significant difference.

If 'the best' is what you're after, you've got a very good start going here; not an easy matter. Between the quality of these message boards and the excellent communication from the webmaster, I believe this site shows great promise. It has become my favorite movie music site in a hurry, especially for the forums.

Well, majority rules so I won't complaint anymore but yes, I did mean the words are harder to read than other message boards. No, it's not that hard but not as pleasing to the eyes as say, FSM (Black on white), Filmtracks (white on black), old movietunes (dark blue on very light blue similar to this one but the background a tad lighter), Scoreland (yellow on black) and others (usually some light color on black). Light color on dark background or dark color on light background is my suggestion. Like I said, it's everyone's board but for me, I don't feel like reading when the words don't jump out at me. No, I don't have any vision problem in case anyone is wondering.

I think the site looks fine. I've never really been a big fan of pastels, but I think it'll grow on me. I can read it very well, too, so that's not a problem. As for the logo, well... it doesn't look childish, and it does look fun... it's good. It actually looks sort of like stereotypical inner-city grafiti (that's neither good nor bad). But all this is just my opinion. Remember the parable about the man and his son, traveling through the cities with their donkey...

Okay, so I give up. Everybody loves the logo but me....Majority wins.
