I really love the theme for Miette from Badalamenti's City of Lost Children. And I find it very hard to listen to the conclusion of Edward Scissorhands without getting all choked up.

Gotta say though Shaun (hi Shaun!) The bit in particular that gets me every time in shawshank (and on the album) is the Brooks was Here track, One of the most poignant pieces of music ever set to film.

Hey Pliskinn, Is that a John Carpenter kind of thang??!!

Big HI Shaun, Brookes was Here from Shawshank is one of the most poignant cues ever written for a film.

Another good topic would be what films make you cry like a woman?

Field Of Dreams (he gets to play catch with his dad!), Shawshank, and E.T. get me EVERY time.

    Shaun

Oh I'll CERTAINLY agree with 'That Next Place', track 19 off Meet Joe Black. Also, anything else moving Thomas Newman has done, including...

The Shawshank Redemption (OK, not Anything, but damn near all of it makes me whimper like a child)

The 'Brooks Was Here', 'So Was Red' and 'End Title' cues get me every time.... *sniffle*

I would have to go with:

"Sally's Song" (who knew that Catherine O'Hara had such a lovely singing voice) and "Poor Jack" from THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

"Ken's Sadness" from A FISH CALLED WANDA

    "Lindsey Drowns" from THE ABYSS
