    Raash,

Good question. Note, at the end of a LOT of posts by many who post on this message board, a line that begins with "NP." I introduced this on the former message boards as a way of letting people know what was "now playing" on their music systems while typing posts.

So, in a way, with the NP feature, we've got two posts in one: 1) what people are listening to, and 2) what the topic is!

Everyone is invited to use NP at the end of their messages if you haven't done so already.

I'm presently playing "Roxanne" by Bruce Smeaton.

In fact, that brings up an interesting point. I've got to drive to another state tomorrow to pick up a car. The round triip being 6 hours. Now just what do I bring to play in the car CD player? 'Tis a puzzlement. I need to think on that tonight.

I have Songs from Ally McBeal featuring Vonda Shepard. There's no instrumental music in it, but my sister sent it to me because she knew I like "movie music". It's o.k., but really it's just a pop rockish c.d.

I am not listening to any music at this particular moment, but the last few recordings I have listened to are still piled up in my playing rack. They are:

Bernard Herrmann: Journey To The Center Of The Earth
    (Varčse Sarabande)

    Henri Dutilleux: Métaboles
    Orchestre de l'Opéra Bastille/Chung
    (Deutsche Grammophon)

    Lalo Schifrin: Enter The Dragon
    (Expanded Warner Release)

    Gustav Holst: The Planets
    Berliner Philharmoniker/Karajan
    (Deutsche Grammophon)

    John Barry: Walkabout
    City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra/Raine
    (Silva Screen)

Tom Scott: Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Leonard Rosenman: Battle for the Planet of the Apes
    (FSM Silver Age Classics)

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Piano Concerto Nos. 18 & 19
    Concerto Köln/Staier
    (Teldec)

Additionally, this past week I have seen the London Sinfonietta under Oliver Knussen live, performing works by Hans Werner Henze, including his film score for Die verlorene Ehe der Katharina Blum. Excellent.
