I just have to say that I think the music that is used in Ken Burns' documentaries (there was one on the Civil War and on Irish Immigrants during the 19th century among others) is outstanding. I think most of his documentaries have soundtracks out although the only one I have seen and own is The Civil War. Anyway the documentaries are great and so is the music so if you ever find out one of his documentaries is going to be on you should watch it for both aspects.

Absolutely. I love the Civil War soundtrack. The Sullivan Ballou letter at the end is very intimate and beautiful. It's worth the cost of the c.d. if you are of a romantic nature.

I agree with you totally! I actually almost cried the first time I listened to that letter on The Civil War
soundtrack. Its also published in "Chicken Soup for a Woman's Soul" book but I personally feel its better to listen to it then just read it *s*.
