Can anybody recommende this score. How good is it compared to scores like PSHYCO, VERTIGO and THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD? Thanks.SFT

I did not see this question, or I would have answered it. Overall, I like the score, but it is not as good as the others. It starts off pretty good, but most of the score is quiet with suspense music mostly with very low volume. Most of that isn't all that good but the opening parts are excellent. Best, John.

Similar to a lot of the low volume suspense music in Sisters, not the crazy sounding loud parts of that score for the insane sisters, but rest of the tension score.

How did this one get overlooked! SFT posts on the Herrmann board, so I imagine they have this score by now....but if you DON'T grab one! It is another masterpiece by Herrmann for viola d'amore, harmonica and string orchestra.
The Label X cd is probably OOP,but there is a reissue "Herrmann at the Movies"that has this album,Battle of Nerevta and a cue from Sisters. There are suspense cues, sure, but the memorable part is the nostaligic 'love' music, and this aspect is heard more in the score than the suspense scoring.
Just because you can't find the film anymore(and I would love to see it) don't pass it up! You'll love it!!!!
