I bought this CD many years ago, haven't seen the TV show. It just got my attention in the store as I looked at the track list... I noticed many artists were pretty well known. The mood of this album is inspirational, kinda gospel sometimes, but always reflecting something spiritual. The songs are about love, commitment, sacrifice, hope, joy, faith. They are a connection with God, but they also a connection with other human beings. The tracks go from gospel to ballads, from country to pop. I would say the songs are good for the spirit, and after you hear them, you have a little more hope in this world and its inhabitants.
