Mirna's review of this soundtrack CD:

5 stars
by Mirna on 10/7/2001

Zbigniew Presnier's soundtrack is definitely the most intense listening experience I have ever had. It formed an inseparable part of the movie (a rare bird in its own right), but on its own it invokes all the anguish and exhiliration I left the cinema with. Like the movie, it is by no means easy listening, but its power will haunt you for days. The same could be said of its companion pieces, White and Red, the former being more overtly passionate with its recurrent tango theme, and the latter at times haunting, touching and ultimately hopeful. Nevertheless, you'll be missing out on a lot if you fail to see the trilogy as well.
