I picked up a second-hand copy of this CD about 5 years ago, and didn't really appreciate the music until later on when I learned a little more about Elmer Bernstein.

The thing that makes the music in Spies Like Us so interesting is the fact that each track is like a song on its own. Any fan of movie music will know that a lot of scores contain music that has been matched to the action in the movie and therefore can be inconsistent, sometimes frustrating to listen to. Not in this case.

I don't pretend to know a lot about music/scores but one thing I do know is that Elmer Bernstein does a fine job here.
