Interesting score. If you're a big action fan, or like the thematic progression of Mancina's work, then this is a must buy. However, if electronic music angers you, or if want more of an orchestral experience, then I would look over this and pick up Twister if you want a Mancina score.
I personally have always liked the music from the movie. It has a very tense and neat melody and uses synths very well (especially when they're used to imitate cars going past a microphone). There is a pretty heavy use of electronics here, but Mancina uses them well and there's only a few moments where you go for the search button.
My biggest angst with the score is its lack of a secondary theme. The first one is very good, but there's nothing else for it to cling on to... and everything that doesn't use the theme becomes boring. Twister was able to create numerous themes and used them to great extent, giving it a more jointed feel.
Overall, this score is certainly not for fans of strictly orchestral scores. I enjoy it for the theme, but otherwise feel a little shortchanged. Worth the time and money however, if you can pick it up cheap. Mancina and/or action fans need this though...
