PK's review
of this soundtrack CD:
by PK on 10/8/2000 favorite track: 12 This soundtrack is an average companion piece to this movie, bringing together many of the songs our pop culture likes to remember from the 70s, including "Spirit in the Sky," "Peace Train," "I Want to Take You Higher and Higher," "Up Around the Bend," etc.
If you're looking to buy music you don't already own, pass on this one. Listening to this soundtrack brings back more of the 70s than the movie itself. Again, it's just a collection of mostly uninspired, overused songs that serves only to put a timestamp on the movie.
Trevor Rabin's aptly titled "Titans Spirit" is the only track on the CD that even tries to capture some part of the movie's story and character. Let's hear more of this score, and less of what we already own in our music collections! see all reviews, or add a review
