darthray90's review of this soundtrack CD:

From one of the few TV shows that I actually watch regularly, Michael Giacchino's score is one of the best things to ever hit television. This hour-long CD contains an abundance of suspense, action, and emotional cues and, despite there being twenty-four episodes' worth of music, the production of the album is consistent, with a few themes being repeated.

There are two main themes, one the fate theme, which first appears in "Credit Where Credit is Due." The second is a mysterious tune that closes the show every episode, but it only makes three appearances on the entire soundtrack. Other themes included on this compilation are those for Locke (my favorite, check out track 19), Kate, and the hatch.

With a wide variety of music using strange percussion (airplane parts were used) and lots of strings, the Lost Season One soundtrack is, in my opinion, the best television score I have ever heard. Be sure to get it!
