Ladder 49 will be a classic film for its message of duty, courage, and remembrance of firefighters present and past who have served with honor and distinction. The soundtrack fully supports and enhances this strong message in the film. I especially enjoy the first track by Robbie Robertson, "Shine Your Light," which is also a music video on the DVD. As a firefighter who has been to many fire department funerals, I believe the lyrics are right on. I plan to give this soundtrack to the widow and daughter of a firefighter who recently died. The producer, director, actors and song writers will never know how much this film/soundtrack will mean to so many people. We in the fire service thank them all.
