I had great expectations for this soundtrack, being a lifelong fan of Douglas Adams work. And... I was pleased with the treatment overall. A thorougly modern updating of the original musical score, even though I don't own that one. Where can I get the original?? Anyway, two tracks, albeit vocal, stand out: "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish" (very funny!) and "Reasons to Be Cheerful" by Stephen Fry of Blackadder fame... I can imagine this being released as a single. One thing though about "Journey of the Sorcerer," there is no credit to its original creators The Eagles. This also appeared in the original TV series, though now in a slightly more jazzed up version. A few oldies including Perry Como's "Magic Moments" appear, though until I see the film, I won't be able to judge how much they fit into the film. Overall, quite a good score. I hope to hear more from Toby Talbot!
