of this soundtrack CD:
by fb on 1/11/2001 It's just so bad. Where the first Heavy Metal movie featured an excellent selection of songs, the producers of the second movie show that they must be totally brain-dead to put such an abomination on the market. I wonder how four guys (your average rock-band) can all sound the same everytime. I mean they could sing Wagner's "Ritt der Walküren" and you wouldn't notice it. Besides, the music is so loud you can't hear what the actors are saying (it's good I have the DVD with subtitles). When you turn up the volume to compensate, this terrible abominating sound just get louder. It's just so typical. If it reads Heavy Metal on the outside, there has to be Heavy Metal inside (90s Heavy Metal, my goodness). If you like albums where almost every track (I can't deny that even this CD has its FEW moments) sounds the same and you don't know whether it is track 7 or 14 you're listening to, try it. For all those who like more complex and melodic music I recommend Frederic Talgorn's score for the movie. Sadly, it's only available as a limited promo release. see all reviews, or add a review
