Carter Burwell is a composer with a very recognisable sound and this is no exception. Small-scale, melodic and intimate built on small orchestra and mainly string-driven, at times sounding like a mere string quartet. Its tone is mostly melancholic and weird (aided by the unusual instrumentation at places and pitch sliding changes) with the occasional dissonance, I love it!
