With all the seemingly endless praise for Glory and Dragonheart, it's easy to forget Randy Edelman's Gettysburg. This score meets all the qualifications for an epic piece of work. It starts off grand with the main theme (which is better than Dragonheart's) and continues along with this theme in every other track it seems. The second to last track, "Kathleen Mavourneen," has no real relevance to the movie other than being heard over the end credits. The last track combines the major themes from the movie, including a minor theme that's strikingly close to a theme from Dragonheart. Towards the last ten seconds of the track you can hear what sounds like a computer glitch, or digital pop, but that's a little thing. Overall this is a score you have to own if you like movie scores. Edelman's best work ever. BETTER THAN GLORY.
