Lancelot's review
of this soundtrack CD:
by Lancelot on 10/7/2001 Looking for a good score? I recently asked the question whether composers are, in fact, flattered when their score pops up in movie trailers. If that's the case, then Randy Edelman is on cloud nine.
Yes, it's the music you've been hearing over and over again, on the Academy Awards broadcast, or Disney's Mulan previews, and a handful of other places. An instant classic, by virtue of its obscure-yet-popular existence. A epic overture opens the album, followed by a heart-string-tugging theme representing Draco -- sad, yet magical.
There are lighter, comical moments and dark, percussive marches -- a very wide diversity of themes is displayed here. Overall, this is a solid album, and should be a stand-out in any music fan's library. see all reviews, or add a review
