The Chronicles of Riddick is one of those rare treats. I went in to the theater expecting a mediocre score at best, and came out humming some of the tunes.

It's creative, yet traditional, mysterious, yet powerful, and most of all, Riddick's theme is simple and memorable.

Revell forges the stylings of Goldsmith's Total Recall, with Elfman's Planet of the Apes, and a slight touch of Goldenthal's Final Fantasy.

Anyone who is into sci-fi action scores should definitely not pass this one up.
