The biggest song missing from this CD is "Sinner Man" by Nina Simone. For me it was the only song that stood out (I think it was also used on the Pierce Brosnan film The Thomas Crowne Affair during the museum chase sequence/climax). Too bad the song isn't on the soundtrack. I went right to the music store to buy it because of "Sinner Man," but thank God I bought a Nina Simone anthology instead.

I don't even recall there ever being any music played in this movie, except that one reggae/techo song. I am searching for the name/artist of this song... which is NOT even on the soundtrack. Go figure.

The music is not so great on the whole, but "The Bait" is the best of all as it suits to the scene's situation well.

The song is called "Sinner Man" by Nina Simone... the Felix Da Housecat's Heavenly House Mix. The song is on the Verve/Remixed2 disk.

It's incredible that the biggest song of this film is missing on the CD. I'm talking about the excellent remix made of the great Nina Simone's "Sinner Man." After seeing the movie I thought to buy the CD. Now, I won't do it and I will say to all my friends not to buy it. The song is on the Verve/Remixed2 disk.

Indeed, I agree with all of you guys. The song "Sinner Man" definitely is this movie's best song. Unfortunately, some producer forgot to put this one on the CD - a very big shame. The rest of this CD is not to be listened to, for it's nothing.

Indeed the song that makes you wanna buy the soundtrack CD is NOT on it. Don't buy the CD. Respect and thanx to those who shared their info... one love, from Amsterdam.

All I have to say is "Sinner Man" is a great song. It really makes me want to dance! But where the hell is it on the CD!? Hmm... producers, way to NOT put the main and best song on the CD. Duh.

I'm with everyone else. The soundtrack sucks. The techno song is nowhere to be found on the CD. I can't find it on the internet or anything. And every other song sucks unless you like the opera-type suspense crap music.

I absolutely love this score. It goes perfectly with the movie. If you would have paid attention, you would have heard this music in the movie. Pay attention before you start whining that none of the music on this CD is in the movie!

I saw this movie tonight and I recognized Nina Simone's song "Sinner Man," which is also from the 1999 movie The Thomas Crown Affair. I can't believe this song is not on the Cellular soundtrack CD. I bet a lot of people would buy the soundtrack if this song was on there. The producer must be kicking himself for leaving it off. Great song though!

My sentiments are shared with all who are disappointed in the soundtrack CD. My disappointment is mostly over all the great material contributed by G Love that is not included on the CD, and the Nina Simone remix. Shame.

WHAT A SWEET ASS MOVIE! This movie hauled ass, but I'm kinda pissed that "Sinner Man" isn't on the soundtrack CD. I wanna listen to it.

This music is the score and it is in the movie. This is the music composed by John Ottman for the movie. I was hoping there would be another soundtrack CD featuring the songs many of us are looking for, but I have yet to locate one. This CD is great if you just want to chill and relax and not have to listen to lyrics, but just want to feel the music.

This CD is extremely disappointing. Who wants the background music of chase scenes??? I feel ripped off since a CD cannot be returned at the place I bought it from. There was more than one song I liked, and none of them are on the CD.

Guyssssss, Felix da Housecat's remix of Nina Simone's "Sinnerman" ("Oh Sinnerman, where you gonna run to?") is a perfect fit both in tempo and theme. I'd say it took some guts to include this song in the scene - a song as rich as this could have made the scene seem terribly thin... but it works (so well, in fact, that it's used again over the credits).

Thanks for the info on "Sinnerman." That song is sweet like the movie. Also, some of the background music was appreciable.

Thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet, I found everyone's comments here and was able to find the "Sinnerman" remix. It's now my favourite track to play, as well as having discovered the entire Verve Remixed albums!

Man, not only is the movie totally gay, but the soundtrack is even worse. How "Sinner Man" never made the cut is beyond me. It's the only song that would make this CD even remotely worth buying.

Fortunately I didn't buy the CD after noticing Nina Simone's name isn't on it; and now, thanks to all these reviews I now know the name of the song and I can go and buy her music. The only thing memorable about this film is her song... the movie is yet another idiotic Hollywood formula pic (i.e., everything is fine + crisis + good guys win).

Yeah, "Sinnerman" is also heard in "Scrubs" season one. They also neglected to included it on the soundtrack for "Scrubs." I am guessing there maybe some sort of contract restriction where this song is not able to make it to anybody's soundtrack.... but why is it even heard in a movie or tv show if that is true?

How can you not have Nina on the soundtrack? What an incredible waste!

As with the rest of the people I almost bought this soundtrack for the Sinnerman song.... Nina Simone is the original artist. However the version in the movie is actually a remix found on the Verve Remixed 2 CD.

Hello people.. this is a score release, not a song album (thank goodness). Interesting comments from many of you considering that you can just read the back of the CD to see what's included. Speaking for those of us who actually pay attention to the score (and that's a lot of us on this site), I'm glad that no space on the CD was wasted with a song, no matter how interesting. It can be picked up elsewhere as some of you have found, unlike the original score. The score itself is quite good and very creative, starting with the integration of dialing tones into the main theme. The action writing is pulsing and driving. I've enjoyed this score immensely. Ottman fans, you'll like this one.

I must agree there must be some contractual/copyright reason for "Sinnerman" to be left off the soundtrack. I too went to buy the soundtrack for that song alone and when I saw it was not there I bought "The best of Nina Simone" instead. It has an awesome 10 minute live rendition that is even better than the remix. It was recorded live in 1965 in what sounds like a small, dark, smokey jazz lounge. Well worth the "nice price" of $9.95---Highly recommended!!

Bought the movie, bought the soundtrack, returned the soundtrack (which was special-ordered from Borders), they took it back. I have never returned a CD before, and they knew I was displeased. The movie is deceiving... it states all songs available on the soundtrack CD. NOT. Hey, just an idea: Cellular Volume 2 soundtrack... you get it for half price when you trade in the first one, the one that a lot of us bought and are quite UNHAPPY with. Volume 2 would have G Love and YES of course "Sinnerman." You would double your money and I bet sell even more CDs.

Wow.... Ok well, like many others here, I went to the CD store to buy the soundtrack to get "Sinnerman" and when I realized it wasn't on the CD, I used Sony and got it off the internet... much more useful - and cheaper!

Look for the new Miami Vice soundtrack - the Sinnerman remix is included. I recognized the song, and couldn't place where I had heard it before.

I ordered the soundtrack the night I saw the movie, hoping I would get both Sinnerman and the G love track that played as the credits rolled. I was so totally bummed to scroll through the whole CD and not hear either. I already feel duped.
