Demetris Christodoulides's review
of this soundtrack CD:
by Demetris Christodoulides on 2/22/2007 favorite track: 11 (review of the score material only) I tell you, we're going to be hearing a lot about Zigman in the near future. This is grand orchestral fantasy scoring at its best, influenced by James Newton Howard's and Alan Silvestri's most notable moments for the said genre, all with gorgeous and memorable themes, a clever contrast between a modern strumming acoustic guitar and full-blown, sweeping orchestra-and-choir performances, brilliant female choir work, sweet and touching piano and orchestra breaks and one really intense and loud action piece ("The Battle"). The whole score (as presented on the official album by only 4 cues of a 15-minute total duration) enjoys complex arrangements and a particularly rich sound.
Zigman demonstrates orchestral brilliance and exquisite mastery throughout each and every note he wrote for Bridge to Terabithia, an indisputably great way to kick-start this new year. see all reviews, or add a review
