This movie isn't typical: the suspense does not come from who dies in cliched good-guys-vs-bad-guys shootouts; rather, the suspense from the film eminates from psychological mind games between a soon-to-be agent and a brilliant computer analyst who is selling secrets to the Russian Government.
The music is tailored to scenes from the movie (like any good movie score should be), and because of that, you will not find the orchestra playing away 200 notes per second in action-packed music.
The aforementioned is simply not what Breach is about; yet, that does not mean that the score is in anyway bad or lacking.
The music in this movie is sneaky and crafty, attempting to capture the mood of what is being portrayed on screen: the biggest security breach in United States history. Building upon a hauntingly beautiful piano theme, this soundtrack transcends its bombastic cousins' scores by easing the listener into a world of stealth and evasion.
Best listened to while full attention is given, the nuances of this score will both impress and intrigue veteran listeners of movie scores with its ability to arrest its audience members who discover its true secrets of spellbinding melody and insidiously gorgeous character.
Sit back and relax as this score takes you to parts of the mind unknown.
